Church Lane Crossing

Site of one of the few level crossings and the Midland Main Line. Nearby is St Helen’s Church, home of (supposedly) the oldest tree in England.

This level crossing has been restored in Midland Railway style, with appropriate level crossing gates and signals.

The signal box is from Gorsey Bank which is on the Wirksworth branch line from Duffield.
